The short version. Forge AI keeps your data on your phone. You can use the whole app without an account. We don't show ads, we don't use analytics or tracking SDKs, and we never sell your data. Photos you take are processed on your device and are never uploaded.
1. Who we are
Forge AI is developed by Regulus. If you have any question about this policy or your data, email hi@regulus.io.
2. What the app stores on your device
Almost everything Forge AI knows about you is stored locally on your phone and is not transmitted anywhere:
- Your profile: name, age, gender, height, weight, goal, equipment, diet and any injuries you flag
- Workouts, sets, reps, weights and personal records
- Body weight history and measurements
- Your food diary, saved meals and scanned products
- Steps, and any heart-rate/sleep/calorie data read from Health Connect
- XP, level, rank, streaks, missions and achievements
- App settings such as theme and language
Uninstalling the app removes this data. You can also erase it at any time from Profile → Reset all data & start over.
3. What leaves your device
Forge AI contacts the internet only for the specific purposes below.

These providers receive your device's IP address as part of any normal internet request, and handle it under their own privacy policies. Your workouts, food diary, body measurements and health data are never sent to any of them.
4. Accounts are optional
Forge AI is fully usable without signing in. If you choose to create an account, we store your email address, plus your display name, XP and level so you can appear on the leaderboard. Other users can see your display name, XP, level and rank on that leaderboard — nothing else.
5. Health & fitness data (Health Connect)
If you connect a watch, Forge AI asks your permission to read the following from Android Health Connect:
- Steps
- Heart rate and resting heart rate
- Sleep
- Active calories burned
This data is used only on your device, to show your activity and to calculate your daily training-readiness score. It is never transmitted off your device, never shared with third parties, and never used for advertising. Forge AI does not write data back to Health Connect. You can revoke this access at any time in the Health Connect app or in Android Settings, and the app will keep working without it.
6. Camera and photos
Forge AI uses the camera for barcode scanning, and lets you take meal and physique photos. All of this is processed on your device — images are not uploaded to us or to anyone else. Physique photos you save stay in the app's local storage on your phone.
7. No ads, no tracking
Forge AI contains no advertising, no analytics SDKs, no crash-reporting SDKs and no third-party trackers. We do not build advertising profiles and we do not sell or rent personal data to anyone.
8. Notifications
With your permission the app can send you local reminders (for example to log your weight). These are generated on your phone; no notification content is sent to a server.
9. Children
Forge AI is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Younger teenagers should use the app with a parent or guardian's involvement. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Your rights and choices
- Erase everything: Profile → Reset all data & start over, or uninstall the app.
- Delete your account: email hi@regulus.io and we will delete your account and its leaderboard record.
- Get a copy of your data: email us and we will send you what's associated with your account.
- Withdraw health access: revoke it in Health Connect at any time.
Depending on where you live (for example in the UK/EEA under UK GDPR and GDPR), you may have additional rights to access, correct, port or erase your personal data, and to object to its processing. We handle account data on the basis of your consent and to provide the service you asked for. You also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.
11. Data retention & security
On-device data is kept until you delete it. Account data is kept until you ask us to delete it. Account data is stored with Supabase and protected in transit using HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure, but because Forge AI keeps your training and health data on your own device rather than on a server, there is very little to expose.
12. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes we'll update this page and the effective date at the top. Significant changes will also be highlighted in the app.
13. Not medical advice
Forge AI is a fitness and nutrition tool, not a medical device. Body-fat percentage, BMI, calorie targets and recovery estimates are calculated approximations for guidance only. Always consult a qualified professional before making significant changes to your training or diet.
